Transfer Degrees & Partners

At Pima, learning, growing, and finding new challenges to conquer is at the heart of our mission. This is why we help put you on the path to success, which includes preparing you to transfer to a four-year institution.

To do this, we’ve partnered with colleges both in Arizona and around the country to ensure that your hard-earned credits transfer seamlessly and meet the requirements of your degree program. You can see how your Pima courses will transfer using Transfer Tools provided by AZTransfer

How to transfer from Pima: Your step-by-step checklist

Transferring should be as straight-forward as possible. We’ve created a checklist to guide you through the process of transferring your credits and/or degree from Pima.

  1. Apply and enroll at Pima. Complete an online application to begin your journey to a bachelor’s degree.
  2. Research and choose where you want to transfer. Pima courses transfer to most colleges and universities. Browse our list of partner institutions to understand how your credits can transfer.  Consider special transfer programs with NAU, ASU and UA.
  3. Choose a major at your transfer school. For help choosing a major, consider taking STU 106 (Choosing a Major and College Success), STU 107 (University Transfer Preparation and College Success), or talk with a College Career Counselor.
  4. Choose a related program of study at Pima. An advisor can help you decide which transfer program is best for you based on your goals.View more information on our transferrable programs.
  5. Apply to the College or University you have selected. Submit transcripts and apply for any financial aid or scholarships.
  6. Communicate with an advisor at the transfer school you have selected.
  7. Apply for graduation. Graduation occurs three times a year. The deadline to apply is toward the beginning of each semester, so plan ahead.
  8. Request a final transcript. If you completed required courses after you submitted your initial transcript, make sure to request a final transcript that contains all of your courses.
